3. Bara-Lacha La Pass

Situated 73 km from Keylong, Bara-Lacha La Pass lies on the Manali-Leh route and is also a meeting point of Pir Panjal, Zanskar and the Great Himalayas. This mountain pass is a starting point for many treks like the Suraj Tal Trek and the Chandra Tal Trek. It is mainly closed for travelers during winters because of the heavy snowfall. Further, it is better to travel via this pass by noon because by the end of the day, the snow begins to melt into water streams and this can pose troubles for your journey.
