Trekking in Ladakh National Park: The best routes

Ladakh offers some glorious and memorable trekking opportunities for tourists. This Himalayan locale is a haven for those seeking adventure in the lap of mountains and peaks. There are a lot of options when it comes to Leh Ladakh trekking, which vary in length and difficulty. A few treks could take two weeks to finish while other trips can be completed in only three days. Nonetheless, any of these treks can definitely be enjoyed by visitors of any ability level.

Adventurous seekers who aim to visit several high altitude passes can opt for a 5,000-metre to 6000-metre route arranged as an employee-led tour. A novice trek shouldn’t be too tough as long as you are traveling with family.

Solo outlaws or multi-sectional teams who are interested in being part of a bigger crew can participate in a group tour departing at all times.

The best time for trekking in Ladakh is between May and October. However, only a few treks from early July are possible because of the wintery conditions on some of the mountain passes. January is an especially favorable time of year for  Zanskar treks, as they are organized from this time until the beginning of March every year.
